Supply Chain Awards 2020: Gold award for MED FRIGO in the category “Digitization in the supply chain”

The winners of the Supply Chain Awards 2020 were announced on Thursday, January 21. It was the 5th organization of the awards by Boussias Communications and the Supply Chain Institute in an effort to highlight excellence, innovation, and introduce the most dynamic companies in the field of Supply Chain and Logistics to the rest of the market.

Honorable member of the jury Stamatis Andrianopoulos stated: “The Supply Chain Awards have been a strong institution since they were established, as they are the only awards that reward projects, innovative initiatives, and best practices across the supply chain industry. The latest event took place under special, unprecedented conditions due to the pandemic. At the time of the coronavirus, the supply chain took a different form; it was digitally transformed and managed to support our daily lives and the way we have learned to live to this day. The work of those working in the supply chain was praiseworthy during that time (and continues to be so), and such awards are a chance for this logistics work to be communicated and receive the attention it deserves and... a round of applause!”

MED FRIGO, G. POULIAS - S. BRAKATSELOS S.A., won the GOLD AWARD in the category “Digitization of the supply chain” for its actions and the successful implementation of e-CMR in the road transport of temperature-controlled products in Europe.

As pioneers in systems and procedures, at MED FRIGO, we have been issuing CMR forms since 1999. In 2003, we started producing computerized versions of those forms, using an accounting application. In 2020, we receive an award for our contribution to the digitization of the supply chain, being the first Greek company in the international transport and logistics sector to implement e-CMR in transporting temperature-controlled products from Europe to Greece and vice versa.

We would like to thank the Hellenic Federation of Road Transports, NESTLE HELLAS, BOUSSIAS COMMUNICATIONS, and all our partners for their special contribution that resulted in us receiving this new, honorary distinction.

This award constitutes a great recognition of our activity. However, at the same time we commit to continue to offer consistently high-quality and value-added services, as pioneers in the new trends that arise.
