SIGNIFICANT PARTICIPATION OF MED FRIGO in the LOGI.C 2018 10th Edition

The LOGI.C 2018 10th Edition was completed successfully on Saturday, May 5, following the exchange of a lot of news about the sector, as well as fruitful discussions about its prospects. The conference was organized by O.MIND CREATIVES, publisher of the Supply Chain & Logistics magazine, and took place in the conference venue of the Greek Opera House, in the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center.
On May 4 & 5, 310 high-ranking executives of the supply chain market, as well as entrepreneurs, were informed about the conclusions of 2 new studies, participating in 6 panels and round table discussions where 40 speakers shared their knowledge and concerns.
MED FRIGO was represented by its executives Vasileios Smoilis, Commercial Director, and Konstantinos Kiapekos, Logistics Director.
On the first day of this year’s LOGI.C, Mr. Kiapekos participated in the high-level panel “EU’s evaluating Greece as a Logistics Hub”, where the importance of new highway infrastructure (Olympia, Ionia, and Egnatia roads), as well as the importance of the ports of Patras and Igoumenitsa, were discussed.
MED FRIGO had the opportunity to present both its European and national network and its new, hugely significant, investment at the point where the Egnatia Motorway meets the Ionian Highway, i.e. 10 km from Igoumenitsa. The Deputy Minister, Stergios Pitsiorlas, participated in the panel as a representative of the Ministry of Economy & Development, Mr. Loufakis participated therein as president of the Greek Exporters Association, and representatives of user companies and international forwarders also took part in the panel.
Saturday, May 5, was dedicated to the Pharmaceutical Market. O.MIND CREATIVES and OPTILOG Advisory Services carried out the first thorough and comprehensive study on Supply Chain Management in the Pharmaceuticals & Cosmetics sector, and a series of experienced executives from large Pharmaceutical Companies and 3PLs focusing on pharmaceuticals and cosmetics were asked to comment on the conclusions of the study.
Following that, several company executives with experience in Pharmaceuticals-Cosmetics discussed the new trends, the changes in legislation that will affect the international transport-distribution of medicines, and shared their views on the prospects of cooperation in the Pharmaceuticals – 3PL market.
